The Fashion Association is guided by faculty advisors who assist elected student officers. Nominations and elections for new officers take place every Spring Semester; students interested in running for an elected office should be enthusiastic about a future career in fashion, able to fulfill the commitments associated with the elected position, and demonstrate their leadership abilities by taking an active role in the Fashion Association’s diverse activities.
Each year, the Fashion Association plans and hosts several events beneficial to its members. These include:
--Fall Designer Fashion Show
--Spring Administrative Professional’s Day Style Show and Luncheon
--Annual Study Tour to New York City
--Guest Speakers from the Industry
--Social activities and educational trips
--Collaborative projects within the Indiana community
Members of the Fashion Association are strongly encouraged to get involved with the activities that the organization offers. Students participation in organizing and implementing activities will help to prepare them for future careers in fields such as styling, fashion show coordination, buying, visual merchandising, public relations, and product development.
